A Family Moment™, located in Joplin, Missouri, began in August 1998 as a simple idea and has grown into a major Internet retailer of Christian books, and other products, selling to customers worldwide. The company can be best described as a "chain" of Family Moment Christian Bookstores, with each store in the "chain" represented by an independent sales representative. Each independent sales affiliate promotes their Family Moment Bookstore, not only on the Internet, but to friends, family, neighbors and coworkers. We believe that direct one-to-one selling and promotion is the most effective way to grow a company and our continued growth month after month proves our marketing model does work!

The first web pages went "live" in late September 1998 with approximately 35 items for sale. Those first few items consisted of a few books, videos and audio tapes, all centered on marriage and family. After the first 90 days, we realized we needed to expand our range of products and in April 1999 we launched a new storefront with over 100,000 Christian book titles. That was the month A Family Moment really began to take off. Our unique 3-Level compensation program made it advantageous to each and every Family Moment affiliate to promote our bookstore program to others. And as our affiliate base grew, so did our sales and so did the commission checks. The best part was, this was a business that people could feel good about, knowing that the products they were selling were helping people in their spiritual lives. We have since added stationery, business cards, business forms, wedding invitaions and supplies, greeting cards and much more. We now have hundreds and hundreds of individuals, churches, ministries and Christian web sites working together as Family Moment affiliates, not only to help pay the bills, but to also be serving the Lord.
